This Morning viewers left hot under the collar by vibrating pink trainers

Viewers at home watch Channel 4s This Morning for familiar fodder including celebrity hair gaffes, of which there are many. But to be fair, not everyone can look good in a pair of heels.

These mistakes – unintentional or otherwise – are what make This Morning unique, from Holly Willoughby’s big flatulence on the programme last March, to Stephen Mulhern’s passion for the entirety of the Islington Footwell.

Which brings us to this week’s This Morning, where a sex therapist reveals that rather than the punishing flat ironing she had been avoiding in order to avoid extreme wrinkles, she has been exercising on her feet for fun – now in sneakers…

‘It’s like going to the gym but without the lifting’, she reveals to fellow host Phil Schofield, explaining how she now spends her free time at the gym.

Luckily for us, Phil didn’t let her stay in her sneakers too long, eventually lifting some – unsuccessfully at first…

“You’re stuck!” She shouts, spinning around in a series of mysterious shapes, when the man from their exercise class gets out of the room.

Thankfully, Phil gets his man back so he can fetch some more trainers. But not before cutting back to the panel, who are abuzz with the idea that this gym girl is doing just as well with sneakers, thank you very much, doing her ‘gym’.

So was it a tactical move to steal some viewers? Or was it, simply, a good little warm-up session for a spring weekend? Either way, we can’t wait to see what she gets up to with the hardier equipment.

A few days later the panel were back, and pleased to reveal that the risk of forgetting how to do handstands – one of Phil’s favourites – was now a thing of the past, thanks to a new gadget…

‘They’re not giving us breaks’ 🤔 What, me worry? 😄 @Schofe brings us to the next Lifehack with sex therapist Helen Wood 🙈

And finally, on tomorrow’s show (January 18), we will see whether Holly and Phil forget how to use chopsticks, or are too busy chatting about Josie Cunningham and Amy Childs to do so.

This Morning is on weekdays at 10.30am on Channel 4.
