For the next seven years, The Adare Manor Hotel and Country Club near Limerick, Ireland will host the United States against Europe in the Ryder Cup.

The Adare is no stranger to major golf events, having hosted the European Tour’s flagship tournament on and off since the turn of the century.

It is the only golf club to host two World Golf Championships in its history, not to mention a U.S. PGA Championship and the Irish Open.

The golf course, built in 1929, has received a major renovation in the summer of 2013 and the 2019 edition is just five years away.

The new layout includes trees, bunkers and rough that will bring the course to life, with the Ryder Cup come 2020, and it will host the Irish Open as well as majors in the future.

The property has four swimming pools, spa and treatment rooms, a children’s park and snooker and billiards rooms.

A half-mile path runs along the property and guests can ride a bike along the river to the historic town of Killaloe and the impressive Killaloe Gaol.

The pet cemetery of the Elmer Boyd Jr. has nearly 6,000 pets buried there.

The hotel, which charges from $550 to $2,000 a night, was recently awarded a Michelin star.
