Although announcing the gender of your child is always a fraught business, it is usually not as taboo as announcing the fact that you are about to become a father.
Here are the famous stars who have already announced that they are expecting their first baby:
1. Robin Thicke and Jordan Otero are expecting their first child.
Jordan Otero, director of PETA’s Smart Campaign, shared the news on July 5, which was then picked up by People.com.
The 39-year-old actress and Thicke, who married in March after a 10-year relationship, have not revealed a due date.
2. Nicole Kidman is already mom to two daughters.
Kidman’s rep announced that the Australian-born actress was pregnant with her third child to the Daily Mail on July 24.
Kidman is already mom to daughters Sunday Rose, 11, and Faith Margaret, 7, with ex-husband Tom Cruise.
3. Joaquin Phoenix is now a father of three.
The “I’m Still Here” actor reportedly welcomed his second child, a son, in early July.
The 41-year-old star is also father to 11-year-old daughter Vida with ex-girlfriend Chelsea Houska, and 7-year-old son Rudy, with ex-wife Talia Balsam.
Phoenix has not yet revealed the due date of his new son.
4. Scarlett Johansson is taking on a husband for a third time.
The Hollywood actress is expecting her first child with her French journalist boyfriend Romain Dauriac. The couple split with her ex-husband, Ryan Reynolds, in 2016.
5. Paris Hilton is looking forward to her next adventure with her second baby on the way.
The heiress has announced that she and boyfriend Chris Zylka are expecting a baby in early 2020.
The 33-year-old socialite is already mom to daughter Nicky Hilton Rothschild, 8, with ex-husband Doug Reinhardt.
